Bezručova alej
Six kilometres of lime and chestnut, planted in 1715 to link two castles.
Bezruč's avenue is a straight, more than six-kilometre run of lime and chestnut trees lining the road from Valtice to Lednice. It was planted in 1715 as a connection between the two Liechtenstein castles, and at the time it cut across the land border between Lower Austria and Moravia. It was later named after the poet Petr Bezruč, a frequent visitor to Valtice who wrote a poem about the town.
