Church of St. James
kostel svatého Jakuba Staršího
Late-Gothic hall church in the old centre, with 50,000 dead beneath the square.
The church of St James the Greater is a late-Gothic three-nave hall church on Jakubské náměstí in the historic centre of Brno, with a history reaching back to the beginning of the 13th century. It is one of the most substantially preserved monuments of urban church architecture in the Czech lands. Beneath it and the square outside lies the Brno ossuary — the second largest in Europe.
