The Dietrichstein family vault, rebuilt after the town fire of 1784.
The Dietrichstein tomb in Mikulov is the burial vault of the family that shaped the town, with the chapel of St Anne. A Loreto chapel stood on the site first, built in the 1620s; the church of St Anne was raised over it between 1638 and 1656, and given a new twin-towered front at the start of the 18th century. The town fire of 1784 devastated it and brought the vaulting down — what stands today is the rebuilding that followed.
