Dóm svätej Alžbety
Slovakia
Stand in the middle of Hlavná ulica in Košice and you will notice that the street does not run straight. It swells around the cathedral, which shapes the main street into something like a lens. This is the largest church in Slovakia, with an interior of 1,200 square metres and room for more than 5,000 people, and it is often described as the easternmost Gothic cathedral in the French style in Europe. Outside it measures 60 metres long and 36 wide. The north tower reaches 59 metres, the main nave 24 and the side aisles 12. It is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Košice and still a working parish church.
