Jewish Cemetery, Mikulov
Židovský hřbitov v Mikulově
One of the most important Jewish cemeteries in the country.
The Jewish cemetery in Mikulov ranks among the most significant in the Czech Republic — named in the same breath as those of Prague's Old Town and Kolín, and one of the oldest and most important in Moravia. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 3 May 1958. Mikulov was for centuries a centre of Moravian Jewish life, and the cemetery is the fullest surviving record of it.
