Kostol sv. Margity Antiochijskej
Czechia
You reach it across open fields, 800 metres north-west of Kopčany, near the Slovak–Czech border. A tarmac road and a compacted-gravel cycle path run out to it from the eastern end of the village, about 1.9 kilometres, and what waits at the end is small: a single-nave church, 11.9 metres long including its narthex and 5.21 metres wide. It is easy to underestimate. Yet its oldest building phase is dated to the ninth or tenth century, which places it among the oldest standing buildings in Slovakia and among the churches with a possible Great Moravian origin.
