Stand in the middle of the Loreto complex on Loretánské náměstí in Hradčany and you are looking at a copy. That is the point of it. The small chapel at the heart of the courtyard is a replica of the Santa Casa, the holy house kept at Loreto in Italy, and it sits right beside the Church of the Nativity. Work on it began on 3 June 1626, alongside a newly built Capuchin monastery.
