Moorish Waterworks (Lednice)
A Moorish-style pump house that was also a steam bath.
The Moorish waterworks stands on the bank of the Zámecká Dyje about 250 metres north of Lednice castle, and since 1995 it has been protected together with the castle grounds as a national cultural monument. Designed in Moorish style by the architect Jiří Wingelmüller, it was built to do two jobs at once: serve as steam baths and drive the park's irrigation system, with a turbine as part of the arrangement.
