Ondrejský cintorín
Slovakia
You come into Ondrejský cintorín from the traffic of Bratislava's Staré Mesto, from the streets that box it in: Poľná, Karadžičova, Malý trh and 29. augusta. Inside are roughly six hectares of graves, crypts and trees, one of the oldest cemeteries in the city. It was founded in 1784, originally belonging to the town parish of St Martin, because the older St Andrew's cemetery, on what are now Heydukova and Hollého streets, had run out of room. Burials went on here until about the middle of the twentieth century. Since then they have been exceptional: the actor Július Satinský in 2002, the singer Jana Kocianová in 2018.
