Panna Marie Pomocná
Czechia
You approach the way pilgrims always have: on foot, under limes. A four-row avenue of lime trees runs from Bruntál up to Uhlířský vrch, about two kilometres south-west of the town, and at the top stands the Baroque pilgrimage church of Panna Marie Pomocná, Our Lady of Help. The avenue has been protected in its own right since 1973 as a defining feature of the landscape, and the church tower at its end is a landmark you can pick out across the Bruntál area from many kilometres away. The church itself has been listed as a cultural monument since 1958.
