Pradawne i pierwotne lasy bukowe Karpat i innych regionów Europy - Pasmo graniczne i dolina Górnej Solinki

Slovakia

Stand at the edge of the beech wood along the border range above the upper Solinka valley and you are standing on a line that runs through three countries at once. On the Polish side this is one of four fragments of the Bieszczady National Park that, since a session of the World Heritage Committee on 28 July 2021, belong to the UNESCO site of Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Other Regions of Europe. Cross the ridge and the protection simply continues. Directly adjoining it are Stužica – Bukovské Vrchy in Slovakia's Poloniny National Park and Stuzhytsia – Uzhok in Ukraine's Uzh National Park, both components of the same listing. All three parks also sit within the East Carpathians International Biosphere Reserve.
