Sirotčí hrádek
A Gothic ruin on the Pálava ridge, already recorded as deserted in 1590.
Sirotčí hrádek — the Orphan's Castle — is the ruin of a Gothic castle standing above the village of Klentnice in the Pavlovské vrchy. It was built in the middle of the 13th century by the Swabian Wehingen family, or rather by the branch founded by the knight Siegfried Sirotek, whose name it still carries. It passed through the hands of Bohemian kings, the Liechtensteins and the Dietrichsteins, fell derelict during the 16th century, and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1964.
