sv. Mořic
Czechia
Stand in Mořické náměstí and you are standing on a graveyard. The town cemetery spread around this church from the Middle Ages until an imperial patent of Joseph II abolished it in 1784. The remains were carried down into the church's underground, and the square took the cemetery's place. Above you rises what has always been Olomouc's principal town church, a late-Gothic hall that holds 4,000 people and is counted the largest Gothic sanctuary in Moravia. It has been a National Cultural Monument since 1995.
