sv. Vavřinec
Czechia
The church of St Lawrence sits on a low rise in the middle of Ves, a small settlement belonging to Černousy in the Frýdlant Spur, the finger of the Liberec Region that pushes into the far north of the Czech Republic. You notice it first as the thing the village gathers around. It is considered the most valuable monument in the area, and some sources go further and call it one of the most beautiful church buildings anywhere in the Frýdlant district. The church and its parsonage have been protected as a cultural monument since 1966.
