Sv. Vavřinec
Czechia
Stand in front of the Church of St Lawrence in Přerov and you are looking at a building that has been rebuilt, turned, burnt, re-belled and extended over several centuries, yet has kept its dedication throughout. It began as a Gothic church in the second half of the 13th century, was later remade in the Baroque style, and is now protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. Its patron is the martyr St Lawrence. Very little of what you see belongs to one moment, and that layering is the point.
