Svatý kopeček
Holy Hill above Mikulov: a limestone crag, a bell tower and a chapel path.
The Svatý kopeček nature reserve was declared in 1946 over 37.2 hectares to protect a crag of Jurassic limestone above Mikulov. The hill stands 363 metres high, and together with its bell tower and the chapel of St Sebastian it forms one of the defining silhouettes over the town. Smaller chapels of St Rosalia and St Barbara stand behind those two, and a domed Holy Sepulchre chapel sits on the walking route up.
