Svatý Matouš
Czechia
Svatý Matouš is a Roman Catholic filial church in Jedlová, in the Orlické hory, protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. You approach a single-nave Baroque building that was very nearly lost. Behind it the remains of sacristies are still visible, and around it lies a cemetery. The church is freely accessible, so you can simply walk in, and from the ground outside you look across to the surrounding hills of the Orlické hory. The building is modest. Its story is the reason to come.
