svatý Václav
Czechia
Look up from almost anywhere in central Mikulov and you find the tower first. The Church of St Wenceslas, a Roman Catholic parish and collegiate church, has been reworked over centuries into a largely classicist building, but its tall Renaissance tower is what gives it away: it dominates the nearby square and the town as a whole. Walk towards the entrance and you step into a shared courtyard; the building facing the church door is the provostry. The whole ensemble is protected as a cultural monument.
