svatý Vít

Czechia

You find the Church of St Vitus where a village church ought to be: on the green, the náves, along Moravcova street in Kojetice, a small Central Bohemian village near Neratovice in the Mělník district. It is a Roman Catholic church whose origins go back to the middle of the thirteenth century, which makes it older than almost anything else you are likely to pass on the way in. Today it is looked after by the parish of Neratovice, within the Podřipsko vicariate of the Archdiocese of Prague, so this is still a working parish church rather than a museum piece.
