Všech svatých
Czechia
Two square towers announce All Saints long before you reach the door. They rise from the west front of this Roman Catholic parish church in Libočany, in the Louny district, and they set the tone for everything behind them. The façade is divided by pilasters and covered in rich rocaille ornament, the shell-like, curling decoration that gives the Rococo its name. Stand back and you are looking at a village church dressed for a much grander occasion, and it has been protected as a cultural monument since 1964.
