You find the Wähnerova kaple beside a field track in upper Mikulášovice, on the slope of a hill called Čapák. It is a small Roman Catholic field chapel, not a village church, and it has collected names over the years: Wähnerova kaple after its founder, Palmeova kaple after the farmer on whose land it stood, and, more formally, the chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It dates from 1718 and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1996.
