zámek Horšovský Týn

Czechia

You reach it from the historic centre of the town that shares its name, and at first it reads as one building, though it is really two. Horšovský Týn began as a castle and was rebuilt as a château, and it still stands partly on a rocky spur. Moats run along its northern and eastern sides, a large landscape park wraps around the north and west, and beneath your feet extensive historic cellars are cut into the rock. It has been a national cultural monument since 1995, is cared for by the National Heritage Institute, and is counted among the most visited heritage sites in the country. Five separate tours run here, so plan on choosing rather than seeing everything at once.
