Zámek Raduň
Czechia
What you see at Raduň is a building wearing its third face. It began as a Gothic fortified manor, a tvrz, was rebuilt in the 16th century as a Renaissance château, and then in the first third of the 19th century was remodelled in the Empire style into the form that stands today. That last change was the decision of Count Jan de Matha Josef Antonín Larisch-Mönnich. The château is protected as a cultural monument, is owned by the state, is managed by the National Heritage Institute, and is open to the public, so the layers are yours to read in person.
